Pumpkin Spider Halloween Craft for Kids & Template!
I’ve been trying to come up with a great craft to decorate our home for Halloween. So, I designed this cute little pumpkin spider, and of course have a template for you!
Here’s what you’ll need-
(1) 8.5″ x 11″ Orange Foam Craft Sheet
(1) 8.5″ x 11″ Black Foam Craft Sheet
(1) Green Foam Craft Sheet of Any Size
Wiggly Eyes or White Foam Craft Sheet
Scotch Tape
Scissors
White School Glue
Copy Paper
Markers (optional)
Ribbon (optional)
Walmart has the best pricing on craft sheets at $.33 each. I did however decide to purchase a 40ct foam sheet set from Michael’s for $8.99 minus a 50% off coupon.
First download the template here: Pumpkin Spider Halloween Craft
I had Miss V color all over the orange craft foam sheet with orange, yellow and brown magic markers. You certainly don’t have to do this, and you can even wait until after the sheets are cut.
From here, tape the templates to the corresponding foam sheets and cut carefully, and away from small children.
I found that when cutting the spider, I had to continue to tape down the template to keep it steady.
Decorate to your hearts content! Use white glue to affix the pieces.
Do keep the wiggly eyes away from kids under 3. Miss V is not quite 3, so we used the a largest size and were very careful when she glued them down. We also plan on hanging the decoration outside of her reach so she can’t break one off when we’re not looking!
Viola! The finished product!
