Disney World Ticket Price Increase
Hi Again!
As you’ve probably heard, Disney World raised ticket prices, again. Sigh. What’s unusual about this price increase is that it came in February. Most price increases occur at the beginning of Summer, and the last price increase was in June 2013. At that time other expenses in the park went up too, like food and parking. We’ll have to keep an eye out for increases elsewhere.
This price increase is likely to cover the new FastPass+ infrastructure and the tangible band itself. If you haven’t heard about FastPass+, read more here.
Ok, let’s break it down
This is the June 2013 ticket rate chart-
And here’s the February 2014 ticket rate chart-
*Taxes not included
So prices really went up across the board.
This makes the budget game more challenging, but not impossible. For me, I budget and plan every detail to make it work. I generally go in the off-season and get creative in my use of park tickets, souvenir budget and more.
