Super Simple Mickey Halloween Lantern Craft
Hey There!
Admittedly, I’ve been working on a Halloween lantern craft for a while. Let’s see, I’ve tried milk jugs, soda bottles, and more, all ending in epic failure. So, I decided to get back to basics. Here’s what I created-
It was uber-easy too, and perfect for a table top decoration. So, how did I do it? First, I checked out the Mickey Cutie Bats Craft from Spoonful.com. Which, by the way is adorable, and great for adding more decor-
I took the provided PDF from the craft on Spoonful and modified it to make a lantern.

Next step, print it out. I used card stock, but regular ol’ copy paper works just fine.
Then, you’ll want to glue the paper in a circle with glue stick. Me, I couldn’t find my glue stick, so I used clear packing tape. It wasn’t ideal, but got the job done.
From here, staple the top and bottom crease to make the lantern sturdier.
Place the lantern over a batter-operated tea light. I bought a pack of two battery-operated tea lights from the dollar store.
Also, it goes without saying, NEVER EVER use a real candle. The end result would be a disastrous fire.
Finally, turn off the lights, and enjoy!
