So, a new website has come across my desk, GetGoing.com.  I’m really intrigued by it, GetGoing may be an alternative to Priceline or Hotwire for airfare, with a twist.

Here’s the thing, you won’t know where you’re going!  It works like this, you choose the type of vacation you’d like to go, such as “Beaches & Sun” from your home airport and the dates you’d like to travel.  GetGoing populates destinations and prices.  Choose two that look appealing and select the flight times.  Once you’re ready, enter credit card information, and you’re on your way to one of two destinations!

Of course this method is 100% non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and flights likely won’t earn frequent flyer miles.  But I kinda like the excitement and anticipation about it.

If you are trying to get to a specific destination like Orlando, you can select major cities from a list of options by clicking “Add Your Destination”.  You might pair Orlando with another city within driving distance such as Tampa, at just over an hour away.

When I logged on (I created an account via e-mail), there was a promo to connect with my Facebook account for a $25 credit.
